Advanced Process Automation Technologies (APAT) is proud to announce the release of the version 6.8 of its HMI/SCADA application, HPI. The new additions to the software include a more efficient scripting/programming engine, new pipe drawing tool, support for OPC .NET3, new web based deployment method and alarm analysis add-in for HPI reporting among many other under the hood optimizations. While HPI has a very intuitive design environment, the newly added, dedicated pipe drawing tool brings significant time saving to the projects in the field of process industries. OPC .NET3 (formerly OPC Xi) support is added to HPI as a step toward the post DCOM era of industrial connectivity. The modification of scripting/expression evaluator execution has vastly improved the performance of HPI in large scale applications. The new deployment mechanism helps the project engineer to deploy the HPI application with great ease using a single station. An add-in for HPI reports makes it possible to analyze the alarms based on concepts from newly published ISA 18 standard and related best practices.
